Edith Lucille (Bobe) Cooper, 89, of Vincennes passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her residence.
She was born January 5, 1931 in Vincennes, Indiana to Gilbert and Dorothy (Cox) Bobe.
Edith had worked for Montgomery Ward, Dr. Wolfe, Bill Bobe’s Pizzeria, and Larry Bobe’s Pizza. She was a former member of the Trinity Methodist Church and was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School. Edith loved working crossword and sudoku puzzles, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, who will be greatly missed.
Surviving are a daughter Kara Cooper and her partner Steven Martin of Bicknell; her grandson Slade Ashton Martin; her sister Judy Bobe of Vincennes; her brother Larry Bobe and his wife Donna of Lawrenceviile; along with 5 nephews, 3 nieces, 13 great nephews, 8 great nieces, 2 great great nephews, and 3 great great nieces.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Granville Cooper whom proceeded her in November of 1971; brothers Bill Bobe and his wife Janet, Jack Bobe and his first wife VerJeanne, and 2nd wife Corinne; and Byron Bobe and his wife Pat; and two nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. Private family funeral services will follow with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Edith Cooper.
