A wind advisory is now in place for the area, from the remnants of Hurricane Helene. The latest projection puts the main remnants of the storm directly in the area around six this evening The hurricane made landfall late last night in Florida, and then turned northwestward. It is forecast to cross Tennessee and Kentucky.before striking this area, and heading into Illinois.
The main problem– besides a lot of rain– is possible winds gusting from 40 to 60 miles per hour. Those in the area are advised to take proper precautions ahead of the storm’s hitting the area.
