A Sullivan County man is facing charges after a state conservation officer found him illegally harvesting ginseng Wednesday night on state forest managed property in Sullivan County.
50-year-old Jason Camden fled to a nearby lake when confronted by the office and threw his backpack into the water, dropping a glass smoking device on the shore at the same time.
Camden then jumped into the lake.
He was apprehended by the conservation officer and charged with Theft, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Obstruction of Justice, and Resisting.
