The Knox County Salvation Army is signing up bell-ringing volunteers now for its various kettle sites for the Christmas season. Knox County Salvation Army commander Joey Gates says the kettle campaign is the group’s major fund-raising effort of the year. As of earlier this week, Gates knows around ten percent of those volunteer hours are already filled– over 2 1/2 months prior to the actual campaign.
Volunteers are encouraged to register online for the bell-ringing campaign. That registration location is registertoring.com.
