The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office has released addition information on a Monday night shooting incident.
Deputies responded to the David Goble residence on State Road 257, just north of the East Fork of the White River Bridge.
Goble told police he fired two shots in self-defense at a man who had pulled into his driveway, began arguing with him, ignored Goble’s orders to leave, and then pointed a handgun at him. The man, identified as 59-year-old Kevin Wilson of Washington, died from his injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says Wilson suffered from mental health issues and there is no known connection between the two men. Once the investigation is complete, a report will be submitted to the Daviess County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
