A Vincennes man accused of murder will have his initial hearing at one today in Knox Superior Court One.
18 year-old Calvin Wittmer was arrested Wednesday in a shooting-related death at 1410 North 14th Street in Vincennes. Court records claim Wittmer shot the un-named victim at least three times in the chest. A witness said she saw Wittmer carrying a gun with a large ammunition magazine; a similar gun was found hidden at the house where then found Wittmer, after Wittmer allegedly left the home. He and the gun were found at 1603 Canbro. Police took him to City Police heaquarters, where he was arrested for the shooting death. A witnss also stated that the victim “was like a father” to Wittmer.
The case will be held for Judge Gara Lee in Knox Superior Court One. He is being held without bond in Knox County Jail.
