A Vincennes man faces drug charges following a traffic stop in Vincennes Monday night.
The driver, 53-year-old Roger McClure, was known to the deputy due to the anonymous tip line having received a total of four complaints regarding McClure and his wife allegedly dealing methamphetamine out of storage units in Vincennes.
A Knox County Sheriff’s K-9 unit was brought to the scene and alerted deputies to the presence of an illegal substance inside the vehicle. Methamphetamine, small plastic baggies, a digital scale with methamphetamine residue on it, and a prescription bottle containing medication that was not prescribed to McClure were found in the vehicle. A search warrant for the storage building was obtained, and more methamphetamine was found.
McClure is being held on $5,000 bond in the Knox County Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and a Legend Drug. Additional charges and arrests are possible in the case.
