The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has approved grants for two area lakes, as part of environmental improvements statewide.
The largest grant will be for Sullivan Lake in Sullivan County. The state D-N-R has given 100-thousand dollars for sediment removal for that body of water. Also, the Department gave just under 65-hundred dollars for invasive plant removal in Knox County’s Bass Lake.
Both grants are for use during both this year and next year. The two were part of a list of 56 lakes statewide to get the Indiana D-N-R assistance.
