Roger Lee Snyder Sr., aged 61, a resident of Edwardsport, IN, passed away on March 16, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. Roger, known for his loving nature and kind spirit, was born on October 19, 1963, to the late Gerald and Betty “Wampler” Snyder.
Roger worked for Hammelman Nitrate and later worked as a truck driver in the coal industry. His strong work ethic and great personality made him not just an employee but a valued team member who was well-respected by his colleagues.
He will be dearly missed by his loving family, including his children, Roger Lee Snyder Jr.
(Jessica) of Bicknell, IN, Steven Snyder (Kira) of Bruceville, IN, and his cherished grandchildren Korben, Ashlyn, Brackson, Remington, Brantlee, and Adeline. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his siblings, Sharon Cooper (Bob) of Bicknell, IN, Barbara Snyder of Brownsburg, IN, Michael Snyder (Connie) of Bicknell, IN, and Doug Snyder of Bicknell, IN.
Roger’s world was filled with simple pleasures; he had an enduring love for his pets: his cat Vortex, and his dog Clair. His love for life was evident to all through his passions, which included fishing, mowing grass, helping out his sons, and playing cards. Roger was member of Bethel Church. His memory will continue to be a beacon of warmth and love for all who had the privilege to know him.
There will be a visitation on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Bethel Church in Freelandville, IN. Service will follow after at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Mike Decoursey.
