Business and industry leaders across Knox County are working with the next generation to ensure future growth in the county. Part of that work is the high-school based C-E-O program. That program gives high schoolers a chance to develop and market their own product or service.
Knox County Indiana Economic Development director Chris Pfaff is part of that program. Pfaff feels even though the program is open for juniors and seniors, the building blocks of business training should start even earlier. Pfaff also likes the support system these students in training have a lot of help and support from those who have been there—and are STILL there.
The high school C-E-O program starts with traning in the first semester, and actual development and marketing in the second semester. An annual C-E-O trade show gives the students another chance to market their idea or service to the community.
