South Knox holds on at number one in this weeks girls Class 2-A basketball poll.
Undefeated Alexandria is now number two. Brownstown Central is 7th and North Knox
8th. North Central continues its run at number one in Class A. Orleans is fifth. Wood Memorial
8th and Northeast Dubois 9th. And in 3-A, it’s still Greensburg at number one. Washington is in a holding pattern
at number three And Evansville Central 7th. Evansville Memorial tumbles out of the top ten but are still an honorable
mention.
The Lincoln Boys “C” team lost to Evansville North 66-19. Noah Rath had six points for the Alices.
In middle school sports…
The Clark 7th grade boys basketball A team beat South Knox 43-22. Daveon Jennings scored 11 points
For Clark. The Clark “B” team posted a 29-26 win with Dunn Baker scoring 14 for CMS.
The Clark 8th grade A team nipped South Knox 30-28. Reid Hall led Clark with ten points. South Knox won
The B game 23-22. Trevor Smith scored ten points for Clark.
The North Knox 8th grade boys beat Sullivan 51-34. Klouser Rode led the Warriors with 17 points. Kable Collins
added 14 points and Reed Van Meter ten. The North Knox 7th grade also won 57-51 with Nate Kerns pouring in 29
points and Keevan Schroeder added 19.
The incennes Lincoln Swim teams competed in a tri-meeting last night against Tecumseh and South Spencer.
The boys’ team was third with 59 points Michael Watry was first in two events—iucluding the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. Lucas Doggett also took a victory in the 100 backstroke.
In the girls’ meet, the Linclon swimmes finished second with 101 points. The lone winner for the girls’ team was Jaimee Vanlue in the 50 freestyle. Adelynn Lange was second in diving; other runner-ups were Savannah Harmon in the 500 freestyle, and the 200 freestyle relay team.
