Joy was born Feb. 25, 1939, at home in Iona, Indiana, the daughter of Ethel Vantlin. She attended school and graduated in Monroe City. After completing training at Vincennes University and Good Samaritan hospital Joy enjoyed a career of 42 years as a surgical technician at Good Samaritan.

And finally, her 4 cats who will be going to new homes.
Friends may visit with Joy’s family and home caregivers from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., with funeral service to follow this Saturday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vincennes Pet Port or the Knox County Humane Society.
