2025 Budget Set in Lawrence County Illinois

The Lawrence County Illinois Board has approved the County’s budget for the fiscal year starting in December. Among the new budget additions is a 25-thousand dollar lump sum to help Lawrence County’s E-911 service.
Even with that, the budget containus a surplus of just under 43-hundred dollars for the coming fiscal year. Overall, the tax levy saw an increase of 115-thousand, 700 dollars for the coming year, to just under 26 million dollars. That is for 2024 proprty taxes, payable in 2025.
