Cherilyn Kay Dillon, age 79, of Bruceville, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully on November 19, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was a shining example of kindness, generosity, and the enduring strength of family bonds. Born in Pensacola, Florida, on November 4, 1945, to the late Delores Faletti Wilson and Ralph Wilson, Cherilyn brought joy and light to everyone she touched.
Cherilyn’s spirit of warmth and compassion was most evident in her devoted marriage to her husband, Everett Dillon, and as the loving matriarch of her cherished children Krista Meyer (Rod) of Evansville, Kyla Romans (Cory) of Indianapolis, Danell Yochum (Ed) of Bruceville, Brently Dillon of Bruceville, and a daughter-in-law Denise Dillon of Bruceville. She also held a special place in her heart for her eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will carry the legacy of her love and joy. Cherilyn was greeted in the afterlife by her parents Ralph and Delores Wilson, a son, Mark Dillon, and an infant grandson, Kendall Charles Dillon.
Before retiring, Cherilyn served her community as a Deputy Clerk for the auditor’s office. Cherilyn found pleasure in knitting, reading, baking, and fashion and was often referred to as “Glam-Ma” by her grandchildren. She had a deep passion for all animals and cared for numerous pets over the years. She will most be remembered as a phenomenal cook with fried chicken, gooseberry, pecan, and apple pies being her specialties. Her passion for life was further captured in the many outings with her daughters, road trips with her husband listening to books on tape, and numerous beach vacations she took with her family, creating memories that would last multiple lifetimes.

Her vibrant essence and the warmth of her kindness will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
