
An EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 105 miles an hour briefly touched down in Princeton Thursday afternoon.
It touched down near Princeton Community High School, and continued A short distance ending near East State Street.
Considerable tree damage occurred surrounding many homes causing downed power lines.
The high school and some homes suffered roof damage.
No injuries were reported.
Gibson County Sheriff Bruce Vanoven says the damage is located within a roughly six by six block area.
The public is asked to stay away from the area.
For people displaced by the storms, food and shelter are being offered at the Salvation Army at 202 South Gibson Street.
The Red Cross is also at the Salvation Army helping storm victims.
