Drivers are reminded to watch for flood waters on various state highways today. Flood waters continue to be a problem for various places across the immediate area.
The latest road to report flooding is U-S 50 along the White River near the Knox-Daviess County line. Flood waters have affected the driving lane on that part of the highway at this time. Other state roads affected by high water are Statte Road 58 near Elnora; State Road 358 at the Knox-Daviess County line near Plainville; and State Road 257 south of Washington at the Pike-Daviess County line.
Several well-used primary roads—especially in the Bicknell area—are also affected by flood waters. Some residences have also been affected in and around Bicknell from flood waters.
Law enforcement officials are watching flooded areas, and ticketing drives going through those flood waters. There have also been reports of rescues of drivers from stranded vehicles so far this week.
