Vincennes City leaders are praising the work done by City crews to help with last weekend’s large rain event. Around six inches of rain fell in the City from late last week through the weekend. The abundance of rain caused localized flooding, and is still causing flooded rivers across the area.
Vincennes City Councilman Brian Grove knows even when public and private groups do their jobs, there are times when it still isn’t enough.
High water from flooding can still be a danger in some areas– especially around flooded rivers. If you see floodwater crossing a roadway, officials reminds you to “turn around and don’t drown.”
