Sandbags Still Available for Flooding Assistance

With flood warnings still out across the area, the Knox County Highway Department reminds everyone they have sandbags ready for use where needed. The filled bags are available through both the Vincennes Street Department, and the Knox County Highway Department. The Vincennes Street Department headquarters ar at 1600 Bayou Street; the County Highway headquarters are on Old State Road 67 just off Second Street in Vincennes. A third location giving out sandbags is the ormer North Knox East at 200 South Third Street in Edwardsport.
Those wanting the sandbags will be responsible to load and take them wherever they are needed. County Emergency Management officials continue to watch area rivers and other bodies of water for possible action as needed.
