Tornado and severe weather season is here, and area officials remind everyone to have plenty of ways of being waned of severe weather.
One way of warning is a tornado siren system. Howeve,r Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum reminds everyone those sirens are not necessarily made for alerts inside buildings.
The “Code Red” system is an automatic warning notification for your phones. It will alert you to any weather problems. Those include tornado and severe thunderstorm alerts. However, Mayor Yochum knows Code Red isn’t just for weather bulletins.
