More rises in unemployment rates are the rule around the area from the month of February, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Knox County’s rate was 4.2% in February, two tenths of a percent higher than one year earlier.
Daviess County had a jobless rate of 3.4% in February, three tenths of a percent higher than February of 2024.
February’s unemployment rate in Dubois County stood at 3.5%, up two tenths of a percent from the year before.
Martin County’s rate of 3.8% was three tenths of a percent higher than February of 2024.
Gibson County’s unemployment rate was 3.7%, seven tenths of a percent higher than the previous year.
Sullivan County had a jobless rate of 4.3% in February, nine tenths of a percent lower than the year before Pike County’s rate of 4.9% was seven tenths of a percent higher than February of 2024.
