The first Knox County road work of the spring paving season will get underway today. The first work will be on parts of Hamlin Chapel Road in soutnern Knox County.
The closure will affect various parts of the road for a couple of hours at a time. Highway crews will be placing asphalt on culvert cuts as needed through the day today. Drivers using Hamlin Chapel Road should be aware of the closures during the day today.
Hamlin Chapel Road will be the focus of all of this week’s paving. However, that work may be delayed, due to weather concerns. After Hamlin Chapel Road, crews will move to Overhead Road, and then Camp Arthur Road.
