The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has a new K-9.
‘Uzzi’ and her handler, Deputy Levi Archer, will start intenstive training with er this week. Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin says the dog is fully trained—but is still only a relative pup, at 14 months old. Sheriff’s Department Major Mike Fisher informs us the dog will be trained for multiple law enforcement uses.
“Uzzi” was bred in Europe, as part of a well-used canine police officer program. She becomes the fourth dog to be in use by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
