Mark David Geheb, aged 58, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Vincennes, IN. Born on July 9, 1966, in Lawrenceville, IL, he was a respected lawyer, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and a friend to many.
Mark is fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Kimberly Lynn “Corbett” Geheb, and his cherished son, Leo Geheb, both of Vincennes, IN. He is also survived by his siblings, Gregory Geheb (Kathy) of Apex, NC, Mary Primus (Robert) of Lawrenceville, IL, Christina Stinson of Vincennes, IN, Janet Sievers (Mark) of Vincennes, IN, and Donna Kaiser (Michael) of Bruceville, IN. Mark was an adored uncle to several nieces and nephews and the devoted companion to his dog, Ollie. He joins in death his parents, George Joseph and Kathryn May “Hires” Geheb, his three sisters, Margaret Compton, Susan Kroeger, Barbara Dame and one brother George Anthony Geheb.
After receiving his PhD in law, Mark embarked on a distinguished legal career, working alongside Joe Black and serving the community of Vincennes, IN, with dedication. His professional success was mirrored by the respect and trust he earned from all who knew him. Mark married the love of his life, Kimberly, on October 12, 2002, in Vincennes, IN, where they built a beautiful life together.
Beyond the courtroom, Mark had an affinity for cars, art, and furniture. He was an avid collector of the finer things in life, a passion he approached with the same fondness as he did his professional endeavors. A devout member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Rolls Royce Owners Club, his kindness, generosity, and intelligence were recognized by all who had the pleasure of his company.
Mark’s legacy is one of love, accomplishment, and kindness. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for all the laughter, wisdom, and joy he brought into this world. His spirit will forever be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of his family, friends, and those fortunate enough to have known him.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Old Cathedral Catholic Church officiated by Father Tony Ernst. Burial will be held at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.
