The State’s Public Defender is pursuing permission to appoint two lawyers as appellate counsel for Richard Allen.
That’s the man who was convicted of the 2017 murders of Abby Williams and Libby German in Delphi.
A trial judge already approved a defense request to have the State Public Defender choose lawyers for Allen’s appeal as he serves a 130-year sentence.
This week, the State Public Defender motioned to appoint more than one lawyer to the appeal.
