The Knox County Council has approved a just under 20 million dollar budget for County use in 2025. The final proposed budget was set at a four-day session earlier this month. Council president Rich Chattin says financial increases was a starting point of the budget setting process. Chattin also believes better revenue streams now have made budget time a bit easier in recent years.
The final step before the budget is finalized for next year is its review and approval by the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance. That process will happen sometime between now and the end of this year.
