Clinton “Bud” Darrough, cherished for his warm heart and generous spirit, passed away on July 13, 2024, in Vincennes, Indiana. Born on February 14, 1952, in Sullivan, Indiana, to the late Ruby May Glenn Darrough and Clinton “Ike” Darrough, Bud lived a life marked by kindness, dedication to family, and a passion for craftsmanship.
His memory will be treasured by his beloved son, Christopher Ray Darrough (Manda Johnson) of Vincennes; his sisters Sherry Cummings of Vincennes, Ann Copp (Roger) of Lawrenceville, and Linda Schiavone of Sebastian, FL. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family, dear friends, and all who knew him. Bud was greeted in passing by; his wife Janet Sue Darrough, his parents, Ruby May and Clinton Ike Darrough, brother, Roger “Steve” Darrough who predeceased him.
A skilled craftsman, Bud found joy in working on cars alongside his son and was a proficient carpenter. His skillful hands and creative vision brought life to numerous projects. He was a man of faith, an active member of the Baptist community, whose beliefs guided him throughout his life.
Bud’s presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love, camaraderie, and a life well-lived will continue to inspire those who were touched by his remarkable journey.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Vincennes Chapel with a service immediately following with Pastor Mike DeCoursey officiating at noon.
