Jessica L. Baker-Hope, age 36, a lifelong resident of Vincennes, IN, passed away on July 7, 2024.
Born on December 16, 1987, to Douglas and Pansy “Coy” Baker, Jessica grew up in the warm embrace of her hometown, alongside her loving siblings, Peggy Baker and Douglas Baker Jr. After attending high school, she committed herself to supporting her family through her diligent work in factory settings, contributing not only to her family’s well-being, but also to the fabric of her community.
Jessica’s zest for life was contagious. She found joy in music, reveling in the beauty of the outdoors, and had a unique ability to be incredibly goofy, often spreading laughter and happiness to those around her. Her greatest passion was spending precious moments with her friends and family, especially with her children, Brentyan McCoy and Bryona McCoy, who were the center of her world.
She married her beloved husband, Deameatrice Hope, who, along with her children, her parents, her siblings, the father of her two children, Floyd McCoy, her cherished dog Patches, and a close-knit circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, survives her. Jessica will be deeply missed, but remembered for her loving nature, her infectious humor, and her boundless kindness. Her vibrant spirit and legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
