The Vincennes Parks Board heard yesterday about two improvements to two sets of facilities at Lester Square. Board members learned about continued work at the Lester Square skate park, and they also heard bout basketball facilities at the same location.
The basketball court work is being backed and funded by the Rotary Youth League. Allie Bobe is with the Rotary Youth League; she feels the skate park-basketball court combination will draw families to Lester Square. Bobe also believes the two planned facilities will enhance each other.
The court would be the second Rotary fixture at Lester Square. Earlier, Rotary members sponsored a set of outdoor fitness equipment already in place.
