Linda Jane Wild, 76, of Vincennes, Indiana returned to the arms of the Lord surrounded by her family and beloved dog Holly on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Linda was born to Louis and Frieda Hess on January 18, 1948. She married the love of her life, Robert Allen Wild, on December 31, 1966 and spent 58 wonderful years with him. The pair was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Janis Lynn Parker and Julie Ann Hayes.
Linda always lit up every room she entered. She loved sewing, baking, spending time with her family, gardening, reading, chatting with friends, and shopping (especially “sending away” for things in her catalogs).
Linda had great pride in her many dogs throughout the years, the most recent of which being Holly and Max.
Linda was many things: kind-hearted, generous, selfless, beautiful, caring, compassionate, and sometimes sassy. She touched countless lives, leaving smiles on the faces of everyone she crossed paths with. She loved and was loved so deeply. She will truly be missed by all.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Robert Wild, her daughters Janis Parker and Julie Hayes, her son-in-law Stacy Hayes, granddaughter Courtney “Paige” Williams and her husband Daniel Williams, granddaughters Josephine Marie Hayes and Gwenyth Jane Hayes, and three great-grandchildren; Benjamin, Sophia, and Eli Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Frieda.
There will be a visitation held on Friday May 31, 2024 from 11:00am – 2:00pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vincennes, Indiana, with funeral services to immediately follow. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Linda.
