Doris Shake, 74, passed away peacefully at Bridgepoint Health Campus in Vincennes, Indiana on September 15, 2022. Doris was born on January 18, 1948, the daughter of Harry and Dora (Langhein) Grady. She was married to Robert Shake who preceded her in death.
Doris’s life revolved around her children. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother and was very involved in her children’s lives. She liked to cook, and as a result, her family and friends were the luckiest recipients of her fabulous meals. Doris had a fantastic sense of humor and she and her sister Julia have many memories of pulling pranks on others. They had a bond only sisters can understand.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Julie Lynn Jackson and Christina Sue Carrillo, son, Eric Allen Shake, sisters, Julia Snow and Sharon Whiter, grandchildren, Katie Shake, Kieffer Shake, McKayla Shake, Amanda Fields, Robert Graves, and Christopher Carrillo.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Dora Grady, and her brother, Harry Grady.
There will be no services for Doris. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Doris.
