Gerald “Jerry” Linneweber, 73, of Vincennes, passed away at 7:06 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born June 19, 1947 in Sullivan, Indiana to Harold and Dorothy (Harbin) Linneweber.
Jerry was raised in the Westphalia area and raised his family in the Decker area
Jerry retired from Wabash Valley Correctional Facility and previously had worked for Durkee Spice company Jerry proudly served his country in the Army in Vietnam from 1966-1969 and was a member of the Westphalia United Church of Christ. In his spare time Jerry bowled in leagues in his younger years and in his later years he enjoyed fishing, and watching sports, especially Indiana University basketball, NASCAR, and baseball.
Surviving are his wife Becki (Driskill) Linneweber, whom he married on January 10, 1970; his children Jay B. Linneweber and his wife Jessica of Decker, Carey Linneweber and her husband Justin Schoonveld of Bloomington; along with his grandchildren Emma Linneweber, Marley Schoonveld, and Hunter Linneweber.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters Pat James and Judy Brown.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Titsworth officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm Saturday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Jerry Linneweber.
