Karen E. Bledsoe, 79, passed away at 6:00 am on August 31, 2020 at Emerald Place Assisted Living Center. Karen was born on March 6, 1941 in Washington, IN the daughter of Arthur Neal and Nona Faye (White) Banta. She married Fred L. Bledsoe on January 18, 1964 and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2020.
Survivors include her sons, Brent Bledsoe and his wife Jennifer, Michael Bledsoe and his wife Angela; grandchildren, Aaron Bledsoe and his wife Lesley, Jordan Stock and her husband Nathan, Lauren Weiss and her husband Adam, Megan Holt and her husband Zack, Kristen Jones and her husband Tyelor, Caitlin Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Harper Weiss, Adalyn Weiss, Kade Stock, Wrenlee Stock and Delilah Bledsoe. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and husband Fred Bledsoe.
Karen had been a Secretary for Indianapolis Public Schools for many years and attended Bethany Christian Church. She enjoyed cross stitching, quilting, bird watching, and her dogs Winnie and Charlie. Most importantly though she enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
Friends may visit with Karen’s family from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Antioch Cemetery with Pastor Tom Watson officiating.
