Barbara JoAnn Cazel, 83, of Vincennes, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 30, 2020 at her residence.
She was born February 27, 1937 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Joseph and Frances (Weiss) Wolkerstorfer. While living in Vincennes she worked at Vincennes University, West Industrial Supply, and Save A Lot.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children Judi Wilson and her husband Rex of Vincennes, Mike Cazel and his wife Kellie of Sandborn, Joe Cazel of Oaktown, and Jon Cazel and his wife Dana of Vincennes; a daughter in law Jeri Cazel of Corydon; a brother Chuck Wolkestorfer and his wife Cheri of Bonita Springs, FL, a sister Sandra Wackerfuss of Maplewood, Minnesota; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Jeff Cazel; and two grandsons Ryan Wilson, and Jeffrey Matthew Cazel.
Graveside services will be held at 1:15 pm Friday, September 4, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Tony Ernst officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier or to Good Samaritan Hospice.
